Create a Workflow Task Type

Note: If multi-tenancy is installed, select the appropriate tenant from the drop-down list. The public (shared) option creates the object for all tenants.

To define a workflow task type

  1. Select Service Desk, Change Orders, Workflow Task Types on the Administration tab.

    The Task Type List appears.

  2. Click Create New.

    The Create New Task Type page appears.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate.
  4. (Optional) Select Update Status Codes on the Status Codes tab.

    The Task Status Search page appears.

  5. Complete any filter fields you want to limit the search to the codes of interest, and then click Search.

    The Valid Task Status Code Update page appears.

  6. From the list on the left, select the codes you want to assign to this task type. To select multiple codes, hold down the CTRL key while clicking the left mouse button.
  7. When you have selected all the codes you want, click Select button.

    The selected tabs move to the Tabs Assigned list on the right.

  8. Click OK.

    The Update Task Type page appears, with a message indicating that changes are pending.

  9. Click Save.

    The task type definition is saved and Task Type Detail page appears.
