Manual Notify

You can send a message about an incident to a selected end user, vendor, analyst, or anyone else in your service desk database. A record of the manual notification is stored in the Activities List for the incident.

To notify users of an incident manually

  1. Select the incident from the Incident List page on the Service Desk tab.

    The Incident Detail page appears.

  2. Select Activities, Manual Notify on the menu bar.

    The Manual Notification page appears.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate.

    The notification is defined.

  4. Click Notify.

    The notification is sent and the activity is recorded on the Activities tab on the Incident Detail page.
