Update Status

You can change the status of an incident to record progress toward resolving the incident. Status changes become part of the incident history and can be useful when you research and update incidents.

To update the status of an incident

  1. Select the desired incident from the Incident List page on the Service Desk tab.

    The Incident Detail page appears.

  2. Select Activities, Update Status on the menu bar.

    The Status Change page appears.

  3. Change the status and other activities fields as appropriate.

  4. Click Save.

    The activity is recorded on the Activities tab on the Incident Detail page.
