Escalate

You can escalate the priority of a request in order to direct more attention to the request and increase the speed with which it is resolved. You may need to escalate a request that has been outstanding for too long or demands an immediate response.

To escalate a request

  1. Select the request from the Request List page on the Service Desk tab.

    The Request Detail page appears.

  2. On the menu bar, select Activities, Escalate.

    The Escalate Request page appears.

  3. Enter the New Priority and update the other activities fields as appropriate.

  4. Click Save.

    The priority of the request is escalated, and the activity is recorded on the Activities tab on the Request Detail page.
