Contact Search Fields

The following fields are available for filtering searches of your service desk contact records.

Note: All search fields that allow text entry support use of the % wildcard character.

Tenant

Indicates the tenant that the contact belongs to.

Last Name/First Name/Middle Name

Specifies the last, first, and middle names of the contact. Only the Last Name field is required in contact records.

Contact Type

Specifies the contact type.

Active

Indicates whether the contact is Active or Inactive.

Contact ID

Specifies a unique identifier for the contact. If the default user authentication is being used, the value in this field is used as the password when the user logs in.

User ID

Specifies the user name of the contact. This value is used to log the contact into the system.

Access Type

Specifies the access type. The access type determines the functions the contact can access.

Location

Specifies the contact location code. You can enter the location code directly, or click the search icon to search for the location code. Your administrator defines the location codes appropriate for your service area.

Organization

Specifies the contact organization code. You can enter the organization code directly, or click the search icon to search for the organization code. Your administrator defines the organization codes appropriate for your service area.

Department

Specifies the contact department code. You can enter the department code directly, or click the search icon to search for the department code. Your administrator defines the department codes appropriate for your service area.

Phone Number

Specifies the contact by telephone number. You enter the telephone number that is included in the user contact record.

Analyst's Tenant Group

Specifies the tenant group that the analyst is responsible for.

Note: You can click the More icon to display the Additional Search Arguments field. This field is intended only for expert users who understand SQL and Majic and can use it to specify search arguments that are not available in the standard search filter fields. You can enter a SQL WHERE clause in this field to specify an additional search argument.
