You customize menu trees you have created or copied.
Note: The non-modifiable Internal field on each menu tree record indicates whether the menu tree can be customized. A value of YES in the Internal field indicates a predefined menu tree, which cannot be customized. A value of NO indicates a site-defined menu tree, which can be customized. The Customize Menu button is appears only on menu tree detail records with an Internal field value of NO.
To customize a menu tree

The Administrative Interface window opens, allowing you to customize the menu tree. The existing contents of menu tree in the navigation (left-hand) pane depend on the menu tree you are customizing:
To add a new node to the tree
The Create New Node page appears.
Enter a name for the node. This is the name displayed in the menu tree.
Enter a description for the node. This description can be used to further define the purpose of the node.
The action performed when the user selects the node from the menu tree. This can be the name of the page that is displayed or the search operation that is performed. Enter the action directly in the field, or click the search icon to select the resource from a list.
Repeat this step for all of the nodes you want to add to the menu tree.
The node definition is saved and the Administrative Interface window displays the new node in the navigation pane.
To modify an existing node
The Update Menu Tree Node page appears.
The node definition is saved and the Administrative Interface window displays the updated node in the navigation pane.
To delete an existing node
A confirmation dialog box appears.
The node is deleted from the navigation pane of the Administrative Interface window.
To view the definition of an existing node
The Menu Tree Node Detail page appears.
The Update Menu Tree Node page appears, allowing you to modify the definition as explained above.
The Menu Tree Resource Detail page appears.
