Edit a Data Partition Constraint

You can update a data partition constraint that has already been created.

To edit a data partition constraint

  1. Select Security and Role Management, Data Partitions, Data Partition Constraints on the Administration tab.

The Data Partition Constraints List page appears.

  2. Select the data partition constraint you want to edit.

The Data Partition Constraint Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

The Data Partition Constraint Update page appears.

  4. Edit the fields as appropriate.
  5. Use the controls available on the tabs at the bottom of this page as follows:
    Constraint

Specify the criteria that controls the records in the table that can be viewed, created, updated, or deleted by a user assigned to the data partition. For example, you can specify that users can only update issues assigned to them. When a user in the data partition requests a record that does not match the condition, the record is made read-only.

    SQL Translation

Displays the constraint definition in SQL format. The condition you entered on the Constraint tab is validated, and the underlying SQL WHERE clause is built. This is displayed on the SQL Translation tab for verification.

  6. Click Save.

The Data Partition Constraint Detail page appears, with a Save Successful confirmation message.
