Update a Workflow Task Type

You can edit a workflow task type that has already been created.

To update a workflow task type

  1. Select Service Desk, Change Orders, Workflow Task Types on the Administration tab.

    The Task Type List appears.

  2. Select the workflow task type to update.

    The Task Type Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Update Task Type page appears.

  4. Edit the fields as appropriate.

    See Task Type Fields for field descriptions.

  5. (Optional) Select Update Status Codes on the Status Codes tab.

    The Task Status Search page appears.

    1. Complete any filter fields you want to limit the search to the codes of interest, and then click Search.

      The Valid Task Status Code Update page appears.

    2. From the list on the left, select the codes you want to assign to this task type. To select multiple codes, hold down the CTRL key while clicking the left mouse button.
    3. When you have selected all the codes you want, click Select button.

      The selected tabs move to the Tabs Assigned list on the right.

    4. Click OK.

      The Update Task Type page appears, with a message indicating that changes are pending.

  6. Click Save.

    The task type definition is saved and the Task Type Detail page appears.
