Manual Notify

You can send a message about a problem to an end user, vendor, analyst, or anyone else in your service desk database. Record of the manual notification is stored in the Activities List for the problem.

To notify users of a problem manually

  1. Select the problem from the Problem List page on the Service Desk tab.

    The Problem Detail page appears.

  2. Select Activities, Manual Notify on the menu bar.

    The Manual Notification page appears.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate.

    The notification is defined.

  4. Click Notify.

    The message is sent and the notification activity is recorded.
