Create a Location

Locations precisely identify a specific physical place, such as the address of a particular company, or an office address.

Note: If multi-tenancy is installed, select the appropriate tenant from the drop-down list. The public (shared) option creates the object for all tenants.

To create a location

  1. Select File, New Location from the menu bar on the Scoreboard.

    The Create New Location page appears.

  2. Complete the fields as appropriate for the location.

    See Location Fields for field definitions.

  3. Use the controls available on the tabs at the bottom of this page to configure the location:
    Address

    Complete the fields to specify the geographical location.

    Auto Assignment

    (Optional) Configure auto-assign as appropriate for the location. For more information, see Location Auto Assignments.

  4. Click Save.

    The location record is saved and the Location Detail page appears.
