Create a Root Cause Code

You can create new root cause codes.

To create a root cause code

  1. Select Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Root Causes on the Administration tab.

    The Root Cause List page appears.

  2. Click Create New.

    The Create New Root Cause page appears.

  3. Fill in the fields as appropriate.

    See Root Cause Fields for field descriptions.

  4. Click Save.

    The new code definition is saved.
