Search Configuration Item Logs
CA SDM lets you locate, view, and edit configuration item log information.
To search configuration item logs
- On the Service Desk tab, browse to Configuration Items, Active or Inactive. Select the Priority, Warranty, and Ownership for the configuration item you want to edit.
The Configuration Item List appears.
- Select the Configuration Item to edit.
The Configuration Item Detail page displays.
- Click Edit.
The Update Configuration Item page displays.
- Select the Log tab.
A list of log entries for this configuration item displays.
- Click Search Logs.
The Configuration Item Log Search page displays.
- Complete one or more of the search fields as follows:
- Earliest/Latest Log Date—Enter the earliest date, latest date, or both, for the log record that you want to display. Enter the date and time directly in the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm am | pm or click the calendar icon to select the date and time.
- Log Text—Enter the first few characters of the log text to display a list of logs beginning with that text.
- (Optional) Click More to display additional search fields.
- Click Search.
The Configuration Item Log List page opens to display the logs that match your search criteria. You can select a log to view or edit it.
