Create a Symptom Code

You can create symptom codes to identify a single general symptom for an incident. For example, the Unable to Log in symptom code represents a problem for a user who is unable to log in to an application.

To create a symptom code

  1. On the Administration tab, select Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Symptom Codes.

    The Symptom Code List page appears.

  2. Click Create New.

    The Create New Symptom page appears.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate, and click Save.

    The new code definition is saved, and you can use it for tickets to identify symptoms.
