Edit a Symptom Code

You can edit symptom codes to customize a single general symptom for an incident. For example, you can edit the Application Not Responding symptom code to a more precise code such as Setup Application Not Responding.

To edit a symptom code

  1. On the Administration tab, select Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Symptom Codes.

    The Symptom Code List page appears and lists symptom codes.

  2. Click a symptom link.

    The Symptom Code Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Update Symptom Code page appears.

  4. Complete the fields as appropriate, and click Save.

    The symptom code definition is updated.
