Edit a Resolution Code

You can edit resolution codes to customize a single general resolution for an incident or request. For example, you can edit an Applied Patch code to a more precise type such as Applied Patch 4.

To edit a resolution code

  1. On the Administration tab, browse to Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Resolution Codes.

    The Resolution Codes List page appears and lists outage types.

  2. Click a resolution code link.

    The Resolution Codes Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Update Resolution Codes page appears.

  4. Complete the fields as appropriate, and click Save.

    The resolution code definition is updated.
