Create a Resolution Code

You can create resolution codes to identify a single general resolution for an incident or request. For example, a Restart resolution code represents a resolution that involved restarting the end-user computer.

To create a resolution code

  1. On the Administration tab, browse to Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Resolution Codes.

    The Resolution Code List page appears.

  2. Click Create New.

    The Create New Resolution Code page appears.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate, and click Save.

    The new resolution code definition is saved, and analysts can use it for incidents and requests to identify resolution methods.
