Edit a Resolution Method

You can edit resolution methods to customize a single general resolution for an incident or request. For example, you can edit an Email resolution code to a more precise method such as Support Email.

To edit a resolution method

  1. On the Administration tab, browse to Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Resolution Methods.

    The Resolution Method List page appears and lists resolution methods.

  2. Click a resolution method link.

    The Resolution Method Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Update Resolution Method page appears.

  4. Complete the fields as appropriate, and click Save.

    The resolution method definition is updated.
