Create a Resolution Method

You can create a resolution method to identify a single general method for how an incident or request was resolved. For example, a Seamless Window resolution method represents a resolution that involved using a remote tool function on a client computer.

To create a resolution method

  1. On the Administration tab, browse to Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Resolution Methods.

    The Resolution Methods List page appears.

  2. Click Create New.

    The Create New Resolution Method page appears.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate, and click Save.

    The new resolution method definition is saved, and analysts can use it for incidents and requests to identify resolution methods.
