Add a Request Area to a Service Contract

You can create one or more new request areas to associate with this service contract.

To create a new request area for the service contract

  1. Select the Request Areas tab on the Service Contract Detail or Update Service Contract page.
  2. Click Add New Request Area.

    The Create New Request/Incident/Problem Area page appears.

  3. Fill in the fields as appropriate to define the area.
  4. Click Save.

    The request area definition is saved and the Request/Incident/Problem Area Detail page appears, with the name of the associated contract in the Service Contract field.

  5. Close the Request/Incident/Problem Area Detail page and return to the Service Contract Detail page.

    The new request area is listed on the Request Areas tab.

To copy an existing request area for the service contract

  1. Select the Request Areas tab on the Service Contract Detail or Update Service Contract page.
  2. Click Copy Existing Request Area.

    The Request/Incident/Problem Area Search page appears.

  3. (Optional) Complete one or more search fields to filter your search.
  4. Click Search.

    The Request/Incident/Problem Area List page lists the request areas that match your search criteria.

  5. Select the request area you want to copy.

    The Create New Request/Incident/Problem Area page appears with the fields of the copied request area filled in.

  6. (Optional) Update the fields as appropriate for the new request area.
  7. Click Save.

    The request area definition is saved and the Request/Incident/Problem Area Detail page appears, with the name of the associated contract in the Service Contract field.

  8. Close the Request/Incident/Problem Area Detail page and return to the Service Contract Detail page.

    The new request area is listed on the Request Areas tab.
