Configure the Communication Settings

Use the Communication Configuration dialog to configure your local connection settings. The end-user computer inherits these communication settings in their home directory in a configuration file. Configuring communication settings lets you do the following:

To configure communication settings

  1. Launch Live Assistance from the Support Automation tab or from a CA SDM ticket.

    The Support Automation Analyst Interface appears.

  2. Click Application, Configuration.

    The Communication Configuration dialog appears.

  3. Complete the appropriate fields.
  4. Save and close the dialog.

    The comm.properties file is placed in your home directory.

    The communication settings are configured.
