Copy a Configuration Item

You can create a new configuration item by copying an existing one.

To copy a configuration item

1. On the Scoreboard, browse to Configuration Items, Active or Inactive. Select the Priority, Warranty, and Ownership for the configuration item you want to copy.

   The Configuration Item List appears.

2. Select the Configuration Item to copy.

   The Configuration Item Detail page appears.

3. Select File, Copy from the menu bar.

   The Create New Configuration Item page appears with data from the original item populating some of the fields.

4. Edit the fields as appropriate and click Save.

   The configuration item definition is saved and the Configuration Item Detail page appears.
