Edit a Root Cause Code

You can edit root cause codes.

To edit a root cause code

  1. Select Service Desk, Application Data, Codes, Root Causes on the Administration tab.

    The Root Cause List page appears.

  2. Select the code you want to edit.

    The Root Cause Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Update Root Cause page appears.

  4. Edit the fields as appropriate.

    See Root Cause Fields for field descriptions.

  5. Click Save.

    The updated code definition is saved.
